The InnoGuide4CHT Project Action Plan Has Been Completed

The InnoGuide project has achieved another important milestone: under the coordination of PP UP, the partners have developed the action plan, which builds on the analyses and surveys carried out during the project.

The document provides a detailed overview of the current situation and development needs of the partner institutions – including the Göcseji Open-Air Museum, the Savaria Museum – Vasi Skansen, and the Austrian Universalmuseum Joanneum Stübing. Through a SWOT analysis, it identifies the shortcomings of the digital infrastructure, visitor expectations, and the challenges of accessibility, and defines the next steps based on these findings.

The central elements of the action plan focus on the following areas:

  • application development (mobile app, XR-based experiences),
  • educational material development (digital educational and awareness-raising content),
  • human resource training (enhancing technological, pedagogical, communication, and inclusive visitor management skills),
  • professional cooperation and knowledge sharing (networking, international best practices),
  • data management and analysis (data collection, GDPR compliance, performance evaluation).

The plan not only supports the implementation of short-term development steps but also offers a long-term strategy for heritage tourism institutions. It outlines the development directions following successful pilot projects, regional and international cooperation opportunities, sustainable revenue-generation models, as well as innovative ideas that were identified as useful but could not yet be implemented due to time or funding constraints.

The completed bilingual (Hungarian–German) document supports not only the work of the project partners but also serves as a guide for other heritage tourism institutions working on the development of their own visitor management systems.
