The University of Pannonia has signed an international cooperation agreement with the Chromservis Group, one of the key professional partners of the project PharmWater – Monitoring pharmaceutical residue pollution in cross-border surface watercourses and its removal through the optimization of modern wastewater treatment technology, implemented within the Interreg Slovenia–Hungary Programme.
The aim of the agreement is to promote research related to the investigation of organic micropollutants (pharmaceutical residues), with special focus on the development of analytical methods for surface waters and treated wastewater. The parties will cooperate in optimizing sampling and measurement procedures, as well as in enhancing the efficiency of environmental monitoring programmes.
The document stipulates that the parties will engage in professional consultations, joint research activities and knowledge exchange, contributing to the achievement of the EU’s environmental objectives and the dissemination of innovations in water quality protection. The cooperation also covers the preparation of joint scientific publications and participation in future research, development and innovation (R+D+I) projects.
