Project description:<\/strong>
“Active Tourism meets Advanced Technology in Cross-Border Area” or AT@AT.CB for short, is a project from the Interreg V-A Hungary-Croatia Cooperation Program 2014-2020, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund. The project started on 1.1.2021. and lasts until 31.12.2022. The partners from Croatia are Vara\u017edin County as the leading partner and the Vara\u017edin County Tourist Board, while the Hungarian partners are the Municipality of Csurg\u00f3 and the University of Pannonia, Nagykanizsa campus. The total value of the project is \u20ac1,245,215.36, of which EU co-financing is \u20ac1,058,433.04, national co-financing (Hungarian partners) \u20ac70,386.70, and partners’ own funds are \u20ac116,395.62.
The aim of this project is to attract tourists in cross-border areas between Hungary and Croatia by creating new facilities to find local tourist attractions using advanced technologies. The project will establish new and attractive digital content available through mobile applications, and will also establish two attractive visitor centers, one in Csurg\u00f3 in Hungary, the other in Vara\u017edin in Croatia.
With the help of state-of-the-art technology, such as specialized projectors, holograms, sound systems and virtual reality creation, the heritage of the project area will be presented in an unusual, educational and primarily interesting and attractive way.
Tourism service providers and heritage managers \/ owners will gain knowledge related to valorisation based on advanced technologies. In addition, the project area will be integrated into one recognizable brand that will connect heritage with the market, which will ultimately result in better social and economic development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 To integrate heritage of the cross-border area through the development of joint cross-border tourism attraction
\u2022 To develop new tourism concepts with a high share of the ICT, based on heritage of the cross-border area
\u2022 To increase the awareness of target groups in the cross-border area on economic, social and tourism value of heritage<\/p>\n\n\n\n
